The Creeper Challenge is back for 2016!
The Ryan Dixon Memorial - Creeper Challenge is back for 2016 with a 5K and Bike Ride!  The 5K this year has cash prizes!!  Overall Male and Female win $250, Second place Overall $100, Third Place Overall $50!  $25 for each Male and Female age category winner!  First, Second, and Third place prizes for our Abingdon to Whitetop and back riders!  There are also a lot of great prizes up for grabs in the 5K and bike ride!
Some people have asked how they can be more involved with the event so we have also added the option to start a Creeper Challenge team.  All of the money raised at the Creeper Challenge goes to support local cancer patients.  We believe Hope Starts Here!  Hope starts at home and that's why we raise our money locally and support local patients.  Hope can also start with YOU!  Sorry we have already picked "Team Ryan" for our name so you can't have that one but anything else is up for grabs!  If you are interested in helping please visit www.creeperchallenge.com for more details.
This year 100 % of the money raised by teams and through registration fees will go to local cancer patients in need!

Returning Race Sponsor for 2015!
Scott Miller, Chris Davenport, and the amazing staff at Scott Miller, D.D.S. & Associates are returning as a race sponsor for 2015!  Dr Miller's practice is recognized area wide by both patients and colleagues for providing excellent care using state-of-the-art technology.
Dr. Miller also realizes the hardships that cancer patients in Southwest VA and Northeast TN face after seeing his father battle cancer.  In fact his father was one of the most inspirational people in his life.  He shares these moments in his personal bio:

"I moved home from Richmond, VA after my mother phoned me to say my father had a terminal illness in 1998. I returned to my childhood home to spend the last years of my father's life continuing to learn what the true meaning of life is about. Throughout his illness, my father continued to share the love of his savior, Jesus Christ, with me as well as everyone he encountered. Cecil Lee Miller died at the age of 55 on December 2, 2001. I remember going with him one winter to take some coal to someone I didn't even know because he knew they needed help to heat their home.  I think of him every time I am able to help others in need. Our lives are a journey through time with those in need around us. We are on the same road at the same time for a purpose. My purpose will always be to make my father proud of what he taught me."

Dr Miller has certainly honored his father's memory by continuing to serve the community he grew up in.  The Ryan Dixon Memorial Memorial Creeper Challenge is honored to have Scott Miller, D.D.S. & Associates as a race sponsor!
